A host of events will be held across Kenosha County on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, and the days that precede and follow it. This list was compiled by the Kenosha County Division of Veterans Services:
What: Kenosha County Homeless Veterans Stand Down and Veterans Celebration
When: Nov. 4, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Kenosha County Job Center, 8600 Sheridan Road, Kenosha. Guests are asked to use Entrance D, located on the southeast side of the building.
Note: Open to all active-duty members, veterans, family members, friends and invited guests.

What: “A Piece of My Heart” by Shirley Lauro: A powerful show based on the true stories of women deployed in the Vietnam War
When: Nov. 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18; Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30 p.m., Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

Note: Tickets are complimentary for any veteran or active-duty service member. Admission for others is $10 or $13
What: Village of Pleasant Prairie Veterans Day Ceremony
When: Nov. 5, 1:30 p.m.
Where: Pleasant Prairie Veterans Memorial in Prairie Springs Park, 9900 Terwall Terrace, Pleasant Prairie
Note: Following the ceremony, lunch will be served in the Donald Wruck Beach Pavillion.
What: Christian Life School Veterans Day Program
When: Nov. 8, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
