ACCESS
Access provides a 24–hour, centralized intake and information service for child abuse and neglect, child welfare, and juvenile delinquency referrals.Child and Family Services Unit (CFS)
This unit receives child abuse and neglect referrals from the CPS Unit if it is determined that ongoing services are needed.Child Protective Services (CPS)
CPS social workers assess the severity of the alleged maltreatment and the potential of future risk of harm to the child.Families First
Families First is designed to provide families with the needed support services which keep them intact, prevent out of home placements, and improve educational opportunities for children.Foster Care
Foster families play an essential role in caring for children in need by giving them a place to live temporarily while they can’t live at home, sharing themselves and their lives with children facing difficult circumstances.Juvenile Court Services
The Juvenile Court Services Unit provides supervision and services to youth ages 10 to 17 years who have been adjudicated delinquent by the Juvenile Court or, who have had prosecution deferred but have been placed under Informal Supervision sanctions by the Juvenile Intake office of the District Attorneys office.Kinship Care
Kinship Care is care and maintenance of a child who resides outside of the child’s own home, either temporarily or for the long term, with a relative who could be an adult brother or sister, a first cousin, a nephew or niece, an uncle or aunt or a grandparent, among others.Prevention Services Network (PSN)
The PSN is a collaborative endeavor involving several community agencies, Kenosha Unified School District, and the Kenosha County Department of Human Services.
