Business Services - Financial Incentives

Subsidized employment programs and tax credits are available to your business, when you hire eligible applicants from targeted populations.

Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) is a federal tax credit program. The tax credit can be up to 35 percent of the first $6,000 of qualified wages, up to a maximum credit of $2,100 per employee.

Welfare-To-Work Tax Credit (WTC) is a federal tax credit program. The tax credit can be up to 35% of the first $10,000 of the first year wages and 50% of the first $10,000 of the second year wages.

On-The-Job Training (OJT) employers may be eligible to receive up to 50% reimbursement of an eligible person's wages if the employer hires and trains someone who lacks the skills necessary to perform the job.

Non-Traditional Occupation (NTO) is a program available to assist employers who wish to hire female veterans in non-traditional occupations.

ADA Consultations provide technical assistance and consultation to restructure jobs and job sites to accommodate individuals with disabilities, including a company's own injured workers.

Trial Jobs provides a wage subsidy to an employer upon hiring an eligible applicant full-time and agreeing to provide job training for this individual.

The Federal Bonding Program is a unique tool to help a job applicant get and keep a job. The program issues Fidelity Bonds, and is sponsored by the US Department of Labor free of charge to the employer.
