By having health insurance for families, it makes it easier for parents to create a happy and healthy family life. There are many forms of state health insurance available for the uninsured and underinsured. You may be eligible for a type of health insurance if you meet certain requirements. Families at the high end of the income limit may have a small monthly premium or meet a deductible. To find out if you are eligible for any of these programs, visit the “Am I Eligible?” tool at www.access.wisconsin.gov. You may also inquire or apply in person at the Kenosha County Job Center located at 8600 Sheridan Road or the Kenosha County Center located at the corners of Highways 45 and 50.

Additionally, the State of Wisconsin has created BadgerCare+ CORE and BadgerCare+ BASIC plans for individuals or couples without minor, dependent children. The State administers these programs through a central office in Madison called the Enrollment Services Center (ESC). To find out if you are eligible for any of these programs, visit the “Am I Eligible?” tool at www.access.wisconsin.gov or by calling 1-800-291-2002.

Medicaid can also help pay for the cost of medical care to qualifying elderly, blind, and disabled individuals. To find out if you are eligible, you may inquire in person at the Aging and Disability Resource Center located at 8600 Sheridan Road, or by calling local 262-605-6646 or toll free 800-472-8008.
