Our Mission

The Division of Workforce Development provides services for low-income families, custodial and non-custodial parents and the general public at the Kenosha County Job Center/Human Services Building, the Kenosha County Center, and various other community based outstation sites. The Division of Workforce Development administers local, state and federal public assistance programs including; Wisconsin Works (W-2), the Workforce Investment Act (WIA), Childcare, Medicaid/BadgerCare, FoodShare and the Low Income Heating and Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP). Through the Kenosha County CARES and SHARES Programs, the division provides medical services, emergency shelter and food for indigent and homeless persons. The division also administers the county's child support enforcement services.
