Private Well Water Tests
Three forms of well test are offered: Total Coliforms, Nitrates, and Fluoride
To assist in safeguarding and maintaining the public health, the laboratory provides the following services:
- Tests public and private water supplies for the presence of coliform bacteria
- Conducts chemical analyses of public and private water supplies to determine the presence of nitrates
- Conducts chemical analyses of private water supplies to determine the concentration of fluoride in drinking water
- Test swimming pool and whirlpool water supplies for coliform bacteria
- Tests swimming beaches and recreational water for E. coli bacteria
- Analyzes paint and pottery chips for the presence of lead
- Examines stool samples for the presence of organisms which cause intestinal disease
- Identifies intestinal parasites
- Performs diagnostic tests for STD screening programs
- Examines throat specimens for the presence of Group A Streptococcus, the causative agent of Strep Throat
- Analyzes urine specimens and other bodily fluids for the presence of controlled substances, drugs of abuse and alcohol
- Analyzes evidence for law enforcement agencies for the presence of controlled substances
