8/28/2009 - County Executive Jim Kreuser announced today that $671,359 in Federal Economic Stimulus Funding for improvements to County Highway KD was endorsed by Gov. Jim Doyle and approved unanimously by the state Legislature’s Joint Committee on Finance. Click here to read this press release.

2/11/09 - The National Weather Service (NWS) in Sullivan WI has predicted that the Fox River will rise from its current flood stage of 11.35 Feet (6:00 AM on February 11) and will crest at 11.85 Feet by Tuesday evening February 12, then begin falling. Click here to read the full Press Release.

1/19/09 - Aerial spraying to control gypsy moth caterpillars has been proposed for Kenosha County this spring in order to reduce gypsy moth populations and prevent the caterpillars from defoliating trees in the treatment areas.
