  • FALL 2012 CONSERVATION POSTER CONTEST "Soil to Spoon!"

    Kenosha County Land & Water Conservation participates in the State of Wisconsin Environmental Poster Contest.  This contest allows students to make posters using their creativity and artistic skills.  Please note: all entries must begin at the local (county) level.

    Kenosha County's K-12th grade students are invited to participate in the 2012 Conservation Poster Contest. This year's theme is "Soil to Spoon!" All posters shall be submitted to Kenosha County Land & Water Conservation by Friday, September 28th. First place in each category will be entered into the SE Area Competition and from there possibly move on to judging at the State level.

  • Kenosha County 2011 Conservation Poster winners from Somers Elementary School - Haley Christianson and Connor Christianson each took first place in the Kenosha County conservation poster contest, for their grade level.

    Haley also took 2nd place in the Southeast Area judging and Connor took 3rd place in the Southeast Area judging, in their grade level.

    County Board Supervisor Kimberly Breunig presented certificates and trophies to the winners.

     The Kenosha County Household Hazardous Waste Program is a free program that allows Kenosha County residents to properly dispose of their household hazardous waste

     Household Hazardous Waste Items Include:

  • Rural LO Logo6th Annual Southeast Wisconsin Rural Landowner Workshop on Saturday, November 3, 2012. A day-long program designed for rural landowners, existing small farmers and/or individuals who are thinking about getting involved in a farm/agricultural enterprise.  Participants of the Rural Landowner Conference will be individuals interested in small farming as well as learning about natural resources, conservation, etc.
