CTH "L", Pike River Bridge
The CTH "L" Pike River Bridge is scheduled for complete replacement in the year 2006. The bridge is located on CTH "L" (18th Street) approximately 0.9 miles west of STH 31. The engineering phase of the project is scheduled to be completed in 2005 with construction to follow in 2006. The project will be funded using 80% Federal Bridge Replacement funds and 20% County funds.
CTH "Q", Dutch Gap Canal Bridge
The CTH "Q" Dutch Gap Canal Bridge is scheduled for complete replacement in the year 2005. The bridge is located on CTH "Q" (Winfield Road) approximately 0.7 miles east of USH 45. The engineering phase of the project is scheduled to be completed in 2004 with construction to follow in 2005. The project will be funded using 80% Federal Bridge Replacement funds and 20% County funds.
CTH "Y" and CTH "E" Intersection
The intersection of CTH "Y" (22nd Avenue) and CTH "E" (12th Street) is scheduled for complete reconstruction in 2004. This project will involve installation of traffic signals, construction of dedicated turn lanes and drainage improvements. This project will be funded using 80% Federal Surface Transportation - Urban funds. Kenosha County will fund the remaining 20% of the cost.
CTH "K", Brighton Creek Bridge
The CTH "K" Brighton Creek Bridge is scheduled for complete replacement in the year 2003. The bridge is located on CTH "K" (60th Street) approximately 1/2 mile east of USH 45. The engineering phase of the project is scheduled to be completed in 2002 with construction to follow in 2003. The project will be funded using 80% Federal Bridge Replacement funds and 20% County funds.
CTH "H", State Line to STH 165
CTH "H" (88th Avenue) from the State Line to STH 165 is scheduled for a rehabilitation project in 2003. This project will involve pulverizing the existing pavement and resurfacing with new asphalt. Three feet of the shoulders will also be paved with asphalt. The remaining shoulders will be graveled and new pavement marking will complete the project. The project will be funded using 50% State Local Road Improvement funds. Kenosha County will fund the remaining 50% of the cost.
CTH "S" and 47th Avenue Intersection
The intersection of CTH "S" (Washington Road) and 47th Avenue is scheduled to be signalized in 2003. This project will involve installation of traffic signals and adding dedicated turn lanes to the intersection. This project will be funded using 90% Federal Hazard Elimination funds. Kenosha County will fund the remaining 10% of the cost.
CTH "H", STH 50 to STH 158
CTH "H" (88th Avenue) from STH 50 to STH 158 is scheduled for A rehabilitation project in 2003. This project will involve pulverizing the the existing pavement, rubbelizing the old concrete pavement and resurfacing with new asphalt. Three feet of the shoulders will also be paved with asphalt. The remaining shoulders will be graveled and new pavement marking will complete the project. The project will be funded using 50% State Local Road Improvement funds. Kenosha County will fund the remaining 50% of the cost.
CTH "A", Kilbourn Road Ditch Culvert
The CTH "A" Kilbourn Road Ditch culvert is scheduled for replacement in 2003. This project is located on CTH "A" (7th Street) approximately 1/4 mile east of I-94 and will involve the replacement of the existing concrete strucure with a new pre-cast concrete box culvert. The project will be funded using 50% State Local Road Improvment funds. Kenosha County will fund the remaining 50% of the cost.
CTH "A", Pike River Bridge
The CTH "A" Pike River Bridge is scheduled for complete replacement in the year 2002. The bridge is located on CTH "A" (7th Street) approximately 1/4 mile east of 13th Avenue. Construction is anticipated to begin on September 1, 2002 and take 3-months to complete. CTH "A" will be closed to traffic during construction. The project is funded using 80% Federal Bridge Replacement funds and 20% County Funds.
CTH "ML", CTH "H" to STH 31
CTH "ML" between CTH "H" and STH 31 is scheduled for a rehabilitation project during the summer of 2002. The project will involve pulverizing and asphalt foam injection of the existing pavement. A new 24-foot wide asphalt surface will then be placed over the pulverized material. Gravel shoulders and new pavement marking will complete the project. Asphalt foam injection is a unique stabilization process recently developed. This process will strengthen the base material in order to extend the life of the new asphalt surface. This process will be the first project of its kind done in Kenosha County. This project will be funded using 50% State Local Road Improvement funds. Kenosha County will fund the remaining 50% of the project.
